AM + RF
Both tech

We don't just sell CrossPoint - we install, commission and support it.

Premium Partner status means more than a discount on kit. It means factory-certified engineers, direct access to R&D, same-day parts for warranty work, and technical escalation that goes straight to the manufacturer. That is the difference between a retailer who resells a system and one who owns the install.

  • Factory-certified engineers
  • Direct technical escalation
  • Same-day warranty parts
  • Full AM and RF product range
Which technology

AM or RF? We'll help you decide.

Both work. The right one depends on your products, your store format, and your budget. Here is the honest comparison.

AM
58 kHz

Acousto-magnetic. The industry standard for fashion, high-value retail, and stores with metal products.

  • Better performance near metal (hangers, racks)
  • Longer detection range - wider aisles possible
  • Smaller label form factor
  • Lower false alarm rate
  • Slightly higher per-unit cost
Best for
Fashion, electronics, high-value retail
RF
8.2 MHz

Radio-frequency. Cost-effective, widely deployed, best for high-volume stores without heavy metal interference.

  • Lower per-label cost
  • Wide range of label sizes and formats
  • Works well in supermarkets and pharmacies
  • Some interference near large metal items
  • Narrower detection range
Best for
Supermarkets, pharmacies, convenience

Common questions

EAS FAQ

How long does a single-store install take?
Most standalone stores take 1-2 days on site. Survey to go-live typically 3-4 weeks including specification, lead time on gates, install scheduling, and commissioning.
Do EAS labels work through packaging?
Yes, for most packaging. Labels work through cardboard, plastic, and fabric. Foil-lined packaging (crisp packets, some cosmetics) can shield the signal - we recommend hard tags for those products.
Will it interfere with our existing CCTV or tills?
No. EAS operates at frequencies that do not interfere with CCTV, Wi-Fi, POS systems, or mobile phones. We handle all cabling and power separately during install.
Can we roll out across multiple stores?
Yes. We handle national rollouts across the UK mainland. Multi-store programmes typically get a dedicated project manager, standardised install specifications, and bulk pricing on consumables.
What happens when a label sets off the alarm?
The gate emits an audible alert and a light indicator triggers. Staff respond per store policy. Most retailers train for polite recovery - not confrontation. We provide staff training as part of commissioning.
Do you offer ongoing maintenance?
Yes. Annual maintenance contracts include scheduled servicing, priority call-outs, and replacement consumables. Most customers take a 3-year agreement with their install.
